Stride Schedules is workforce scheduling and time-keeping software used by employers (“companies”) to schedule their staff, record hours, manage time off and onboarding, and communicate with their team. It is operated by Express Installation Services Inc, dba Stride (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the platform holds, why, who else touches it, and the choices you have.
In short: the information in the platform is your employer’s record of you as their employee. We hold it to run the service for them. We do not sell it, and we do not use your phone number for marketing.
1. Who this covers
- Staff — people an employer has added to their roster, with or without a login.
- New hires — people an employer is onboarding, who open a private link to read and sign documents before they have a login.
- Managers and owners — the people at a company who use the platform to run it.
Your employer decides what goes into the platform about you and who at the company can see it. Questions about a specific record are best put to them first.
2. What we collect
Entered by your employer or by you
- Name, email address and mobile phone number.
- Job title, department, location, role, hire date, pay rate and pay type, and employment status.
- Schedules, shifts, clock-in and clock-out times, breaks, time-off requests and balances, attendance records, and performance reviews.
- Onboarding documents you complete and sign online — offer letters, acknowledgments, tax and eligibility forms — including your typed or drawn signature, the date and time you signed, and the wording of the consent you agreed to.
- Emergency contact and direct-deposit details, where your employer’s forms ask for them.
- Incident reports you file, with any photos you attach.
Sent to us through the website
- If you write to us with the contact form on our website: your name, email address, company, phone number if you give one, and your message, with the IP address it came from (to stop abuse of the form). We use it only to reply to you.
Created by the platform
- Notifications sent to you and whether they were delivered.
- Text messages sent to your phone through the platform, and any text you send back to the company’s number, including the words STOP or START.
- Messages between you and your managers in the platform’s inbox.
- A clock-in photo, and the location of your phone at clock-in and clock-out, where your employer has turned those features on.
- When you sign a document: the IP address and browser you signed from, kept with the signed copy as evidence of the signature.
- Sign-in records, for security.
3. Why we use it
- To provide the service to your employer: publish schedules, record time worked, calculate pay hours, manage time off, and keep the employment records they are required to keep.
- To send you the alerts your employer and you have chosen — see the Text Messages page for exactly which texts are sent and how to stop them.
- To keep the platform secure and working.
- To bill the employer for the service. Billing is between us and the company; it does not involve your data beyond a count of active staff.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not send marketing text messages, and we never will.
4. Who else touches it
We use these service providers to run the platform. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job, under its own contract with us:
- Supabase — the database, file storage and authentication that host the platform’s data.
- Twilio — delivers text messages to your phone and receives your replies.
- Resend — delivers email notifications.
- Stripe — bills the employer; it holds the company’s payment details, not yours.
- GitHub — hosts the website itself.
- Lovable AI gateway (Google Gemini) — when a manager asks the platform to draft a schedule, staff names, pay rates and availability for that week are sent to the model to produce the draft. Nothing is sent unless a manager uses that feature.
- Stride Warehouse — our own warehouse app, whose text-message number the platform shares, passes your text replies on to this platform.
- Stride Warehouse support desk — a problem report you send from the app (its text and your name and email) goes to our support system.
Beyond those providers, your information is shared with your employer(it is their record) and, where the law requires, with government agencies — for example, tax and employment-eligibility forms you complete are the employer’s to file. Nobody else receives it. We do not sell personal information.
Mobile phone numbers, and the record of your consent to receive text messages, are not shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes, and are never sold. They are handled only by the service providers listed above, to run the service.
5. Text messages
If your employer uses text alerts, the platform can text you about your schedule and related events. Which messages, how often, and how to opt out are described on the Text Messages page. Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts from the platform to that number; reply START to resume. Your reply and the time of it are recorded so the opt-out is honoured. Message and data rates may apply.
6. How long we keep it
Your employer controls the records in their account. Information stays in the platform for as long as the employer’s account is active and for up to 30 days after it closes, after which we may delete it; your employer keeps its own copies of employment records for as long as the law requires. Text message logs, notification records and the record of your text-message consent and opt-outs are kept for four years, which is how long a complaint about a text message can be brought, so a STOP is not forgotten.
7. Your choices
- Texts: reply STOP, or turn text messages off under Settings → Notifications if you have a login. Once you have chosen, your employer cannot turn them back on for you.
- Email and on-screen alerts: each kind can be switched on or off under Settings → Notifications. On-screen alerts are shown by your own browser or phone; no push service receives them.
- Your details: ask your employer to correct anything about you; a login lets you update your own contact details.
- Access or deletion: requests go to your employer, who controls the account, or to us at email@stridenw.com and we will work with them.
8. Security
Data is stored with access controls that limit each company to its own records and each person to what their role allows. Signed documents are stored privately and served only to the signer and the company’s authorised managers. Connections to the platform are encrypted.
9. Children
The platform is for employees and employers. It is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
