Text Messages (SMS) — Terms and Opt-In
Last updated 2026-10-03
In short: Stride Schedules sends work-related text messages to the staff of companies that use the platform — alerts about your schedule, and messages from your managers. Reply STOP at any time to stop them. Message and data rates may apply.
Who is sending
Messages are sent by Express Installation Services Inc, dba Stride, operating Stride Schedules (https://staff.mystridehub.com), on behalf of your employer. The texts come from the platform’s number and are about your work at that company.
What the messages are
Every text is about your job. Nothing is promotional. There are two kinds.
Alerts
Sent automatically when something happens on your schedule. These are the alerts that go by text once texts are on, in the wording each one uses:
- Shift reminder — “Your shift starts soon: Your shift starts in 1 hour. Remember to clock in when you arrive.”
- Shift reminder after time off — “You're due at work soon: You're due at 10:00 AM, in 1 hour, when your time off ends. Remember to clock in when you arrive.”
- Schedule published — “Schedule Published: The schedule for the week of 09/14/2026 has been published. Check your shifts!”
- A shift needs covering — “Can you cover a shift?: Ken called out of Wed 09/16/2026, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM at Kent. Can you take it? Reply YES to this text, or open the app.”
- Your cover offer was accepted — “You are on the shift: You're confirmed to cover Wed 09/16/2026, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. It's on your schedule now.”
- Your shift was covered — “Your Shift Has Been Covered: Your shift Wed 09/16/2026, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM is covered by Sam Lee.”
- Time off approved — “Time off approved: Your 8h of time off on Fri 09/18/2026 is approved.”
- Time off not approved — “Time off not approved: Your request for Fri 09/18/2026 was not approved. The hours stay on your balance.”
- Time off your manager scheduled for you — “Time off scheduled: Your manager scheduled 8h of Vacation for Fri 09/18/2026. It is approved and off your balance.”
Managers and owners also get alerts about their team:
- A time-off request to decide — “Time off request: Dana Ruiz asked for 8h of Vacation on Fri 09/18/2026. Approve or deny under Team → Approvals → Time Off.”
- An injury report (injuries only; other incident kinds go by email) — “Injury reported — INC-0042: Injury reported by Dana Ruiz, Wed 09/16/2026 9:40 AM at SeaTac warehouse. Slipped on the loading dock…”
Every other alert — task reminders, documents to sign, clock reminders, call-outs, open shifts, review requests, daily and weekly summaries — is off by text unless you turn it on for that kind under Settings → Notifications.
Messages from your managers
A manager can text you from the platform’s Messages page. What they type is what you receive, word for word, and your reply comes back to them in the same thread.
How often
Alerts are sent when something happens — a shift is coming up, a schedule is published, a request is answered. There is no fixed schedule; a typical week is a few messages, more during a busy schedule change. The platform limits alert texts to a daily ceiling per company, and your employer can set quiet hours during which no alerts are texted. Messages a manager types are not held for quiet hours. Message frequency varies.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Check with your carrier. Stride Schedules does not charge you for texts.
How to stop, restart, or get help
- Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts from the platform to your number. You get one short confirmation from the messaging provider and nothing further. Your reply is recorded and the platform will not text that number again until you say otherwise. If you have a login, texts are switched off for you, and only a START reply from your phone switches them back on. A manager who had been texting you sees in that thread that texts to you are off. To keep texts but hear about less, turn off the kinds you do not want under Me → Alerts instead.
- Reply START to receive texts again.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us at email@stridenw.com.
- If you have a login, you choose which kinds of alert you want by text under Me → Alerts (also Settings → Notifications). There is no switch there that stops every text; that is what STOP is for.
The platform also recognises STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT as opt-out, and UNSTOP or YES as opt-in.
How you give consent
1. You turn texts on yourself
If you have a login: under Settings → Notifications → Text Message Notifications, you switch on Enable SMS notifications and enter the mobile number to use. The switch shows this wording:
By turning on text messages you agree to receive work-related texts from Stride Schedules on behalf of your employer — shift reminders, schedule changes, time off decisions, cover requests and messages from your managers — at the number you enter. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, HELP for help. See staff.mystridehub.com/sms, /privacy and /terms.
2. Your employer turns alerts on for the team
An owner or administrator at your company can switch text alerts on for the company. That applies only to staff who have not made a choice of their own; anyone who has turned texts off, or replied STOP, is left alone. The number used is the one you entered in your own settings or, if you have not entered one, the number on your employment record — the number you gave your employer when you were hired or updated with them since. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP or in your settings.
3. A manager texts you directly
A manager can start a text conversation with you from the Messages page, to the number on your record. If you have a login and have texts switched off, the message is not sent unless you texted the company first. If you do not have a login, there is no switch to consult: the text is sent, and your STOP is honoured from then on.
Your phone number is used only for these work-related messages and for replies you send to the company. It is not sold, shared for marketing, or used for any purpose other than running the service — see the Privacy Policy. Mobile numbers and text-message opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. They are handled only by the service providers listed in the Privacy Policy, to run the service.
